Most commercial laser range finders are Class 1 lasers. Always be careful and take adequate precautions when using lasers to avoid damage to your eyes or the eyes of others. Most are equipped with a serial interface to allow use with other devices. It is difficult to integrate them into an existing system because most systems do not provide a serial interface capable of operating at the unusual baudrate of 500 kBd.

Not long ago I had one of those supercheap ultrasonic tape measures. Might as well have been a random number generator it was so inaccurate, and forget about using it outside. Finally I found something I can even use in bright sunlight. It’s the Leica Disto Laser distance meter. Operation could not be easier, simply point, click and record accurate reading. The Leica DISTO special5 has numerous functions that make your work easier. The Pyth-agor-ean function allows for the indirect measurement of height and width which is a necessity in inaccessible places. Here’s an easier solution, finally. Measuring can be done in less time and more accurately.

There was something I saw online the other day… First they came for our levels and now it’s our tape measures. Like some invasion of little red dots, lasers are being incorporated more and more into today’s job sites. While gravity works against tape measures, the laser travels point to point, resulting in more accurate measurements and less aggravation when trying to measure a great room or up multiple stories. Think of a reference point button which allows users to choose where they would like their reference point to begin; at the top of the tool or at the bottom. It would be a good idea to make sure the tape measure you use to transfer the results of the rangefinder measures before starting work. Point and shoot and you have your distance. The only negative point that I discovered that the measure in feet and fractions of an inch are stored in memory, then again to decimal then forcing me to convert the number back into fractions.

The laser tape measure is more reliable than the traditional method because it consistently uses a perfectly straight line each and every time. When you use a regular measurement device you may easily go off center. The laser tape measure is more accurate than any sonic distance meter and it’s quick and efficient for household measuring or on the job. They are easy to use, just point the laser, press the button and measure.

A laser measuring device is excellent for taking accurate measurements and extremely easy to use. It also can switch between metric and imperial measurement. A laser measuring device is to be provided which should be substantially maintenance-free. In front of a window for the passage of laser beams that contains a protective pane or lens you will have your measurement within milliseconds. Thus, precision of the laser measuring device has come into its own.
