How accurate are laser measuring devices?
I’m currently looking into trying to find a better way to measure straight lines when I am cutting wood for shop projects. I had an idea the other day that it would be wonderful to have a laser that would be on a ruler. I’ve tried the sound based measuring devices and they are complete junk. Every measurement is off and repeated measures do not come close to a normal distribution… just terrible.
Is the laser based measuring device much more accurate? Where do you see this technology in the next 5 years?
